Managed personally by one of the brothers-owners, chef Michael Niederkofler, the cuisine of the mountain hut Ütia Crëp de Munt is rich in unique and genuine flavours. Born in Alta Badia, chef Michael carefully combines the traditional recipes of this ancient land with the local ingredients of highest quality, offering you an unmissable opportunity to savour the authentic Ladin cuisine that goes far beyond the usual knödel (dumplings) and eggs with speck. At Crëp de Munt you can taste the dishes that nowadays have almost disappeared from the menus, like, for example, different types of turtres, föies da soni (potato fritters), cajincì arstis (fried ravioli), hay soup and many others. Various special offers, like game dishes (deer, roe deer), enrich our menu according to the season.
Following the traditions of home cooking, we offer not only homemade pasta, but also homemade speck, elder juice, different kinds of parfait (semifreddo), ice-creams and grappas – specialities of the other brother, Thomas. Game meat is provided by his mother Erica Pescollderungg (owner of Rifugio Pralongià) and his mother-in-law Rosa Call, both successful and passionate hunters, whose trophies decorate the walls of our Mountain Hut.
Every meal at Ütia Crëp de Munt is always an extraordinary experience. Tasting is believing!
